Maya is a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse with over 10 years of healthcare experience. With a strong foundation in clinical nursing, including seven years at Princess Alexandra Hospital, Maya brings medical expertise, precision, and the highest standards of safety to every treatment she performs.
Holding a Diploma in Dermal Sciences along with advanced certifications in cosmetic aesthetics and laser technologies, Maya blends science with artistry to deliver results that are not only effective, but natural, balanced, and tailored to each client. Her passion lies in helping people feel their most confident through subtle, refined enhancements.
At The Skin Formula, Maya is known for her warmth, meticulous approach, and results-driven care. She takes time to understand each client’s unique skin story and designs a personalised formula that blends clinical science with aesthetic vision. Cheryl is the co-founder of The Skin Formula, bringing together a unique background in dermal aesthetics and dental care. Her passion has always been centred around helping people feel confident in how they look and feel.
Cheryl had a career as dermal technician in Australia's leading cosmetic clinic, specialising in advanced skin treatments. Having personally experienced breakouts, congestion, pigmentation and post-acne scarring herself, she understands how closely skin is tied to confidence and self-perception. That personal journey continues to shape the way she approaches client care today — rooted in empathy, clarity, and personalisation, with a strong focus on helping clients achieve their skin goals.
Through her work across both dental and skin aesthetics, Cheryl saw first-hand how closely skin and smile are connected — and how enhancing these prominent features together can significantly boost confidence. The Skin Formula was created as a dedicated space for personalised, science-led treatments that prioritise skin quality, facial balance and natural harmony. Cheryl's mission is to lead the clinic with a strong focus on education, safety and thoughtful care, creating a welcoming environment where clients feel heard and supported throughout their skin journey.
